Group Of Juveniles Tries To Steal Porsche In Bloomfield: Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A group of juveniles allegedly tried to steal a luxury car in Bloomfield last week, authorities announced Wednesday.

The Bloomfield Police Department released a statement about the incident, which took place on July 30:

“While enforcing parking violations in the area of Lackawanna Plaza, officers observed four juvenile males running and heard screams for help. After speaking to the [car owner], it was determined that the four juvenile males attempted to steal her 2019 Porsche. Officers were able to locate one of the males [a 15-year-old Newark resident] and placed him under arrest. The juvenile was transported to Bloomfield police headquarters to be processed accordingly.”
