Gun-Wielding Men Rob Couple Waiting For Bus In Bloomfield: PD

Bloomfield police are searching for a pair of men accused of robbing a wife and husband at gunpoint.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police are searching for a pair of men accused of robbing a married couple at gunpoint earlier this month.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the robbery took place as the victims were waiting for a bus at Broad Street and Hoover Avenue on Dec. 17.

The victims told police that a pair of men pointed handguns at them and demanded they hand over their belongings, which included their wallets, an iPhone 7 Plus, cash, house keys, debit cards, credit cards, identification cards and driver’s licenses.

The suspects were seen in a white, 2017 to 2020 Infiniti QX60, which is believed to be stolen, authorities said.

Bloomfield police described one suspect as a 5-foot 5-inch, “stocky built” black male, with “round features” and a medium skin complexion. He was wearing a hoodie and a ski mask and carried a gun in his right hand, authorities said.

Bloomfield police described the other suspect as a 5-foot 7-inch black male with a thin/athletic build and a dark skin complexion. He was wearing track pants, black shoes, a hoodie and a ski mask, and carried a gun in his right hand, authorities said.

Police released the below surveillance photo of the suspects' vehicle.
