Here’s How Snow Forecast Is Impacting Bloomfield

Bloomfield city and school officials are making preparations amid a storm-related state of emergency.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — As New Jersey battens down amid a state of emergency, and weather forecasters call for a winter snowstorm on Wednesday, Bloomfield officials are making their own preparations.

The Bloomfield Police Department issued the following advisory early Wednesday morning:

"The weather forecast is calling for a Winter Weather Event on this date, 2/20/19. The forecast is calling for an accumulation of snow and ice. If you reside on a street that prohibits parking on snow covered streets, please move your vehicle once the street is snow covered. The streets need to be clear so that the Department of Public Works can clean the roadways properly from curb to curb. If you are parked in violation on a snow covered street, you may receive a summons and/or your vehicle may be towed."
