InGroup Honored by CIANJ With “Champion of Good Works” Award

InGroup was honored in the "Supporting New Jersey Charities" category for its commitment to giving back.

ROCHELLE PARK, NJ, March 23, 2017 – InGroup, Inc. (ingroupinc.com), an integrated outreach and marketing communications firm based in Rochelle Park, NJ, was among the New Jersey-based companies receiving a “Champion of Good Works” award from the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) in recognition of their kindness and generosity. The award was presented at CIANJ’s Fourth Annual Chairman’s Reception on March 15, 2017. CIANJ is a statewide business advocacy organization, representing more than 950 members from every corporate sector.

InGroup was honored in the “Supporting New Jersey Charities” category for its commitment to giving back to the community and providing pro bono marketing services to the Center for Hope and Safety and other local organizations.

“For most of the companies that we are honoring tonight, their generosity and kindness is part of their culture,” said Andrew Silverstein, Chairman of the CIANJ board of directors and a member of the accounting firm Dorfman Abrams Music LLC. “The public is often unaware of the magnitude and scope of these good works. This reception is our way of shining a spotlight on ‘Companies That Care.’”

“Giving back to the community has been standard practice at InGroup since our inception more than 25 years ago,” said Marlene Pissott, InGroup President and Founder. “The entire InGroup team gets behind our community service efforts and we collectively select local charities to focus on every year. To be recognized in this way by CIANJ is a true honor.”

This year’s “Champions of Good Works” were decided by a blue-ribbon panel of judges. The organization asked the business community to share stories of its philanthropy. Their stories became a special section of the March issue of the association’s COMMERCE magazine, which was distributed at the reception.
