Iron Workers Union HQ Burglarized In Bloomfield: Police

Bloomfield police said about $25K of office equipment was stolen. A window was found open, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Iron Workers Local #11 union lost about $25,000 of office equipment during a recent burglary at their headquarters on Broad Street, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to 1500 Broad Street on May 20 after receiving a report about a burglary.

The complainant said they were the last one to leave the establishment on Saturday, May 18 at 2 p.m. The burglary was discovered on Monday, May 20, police said.

A window was found open in the front of the building, which was likely the point of entry for the suspect, police stated.

The stolen items included a coffee maker, two Dell monitors, three Dell laptops, three keyboards and three Dell desktop towers. The total value of the missing items is $24,925, police said.
