This event will take place on Saturday, June 2nd at 2pm at The Bloomfield Public Library’s Children Theatre. What better way to kick off PRIDE MONTH?!
The month of June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969. LGBT History Month is also celebrated with annual month-long observances of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, along with the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. The Stonewall riots were a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.
