Juneteenth Event In Bloomfield Will Explore Segregation, Reparations
A four-event series in Essex County will explore segregation and movements for reparations in New Jersey.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Jersey Bee, Incurrent Media, and the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice will host "Segregation Today," a four-event series in Essex County exploring segregation and movements for reparations in New Jersey.
The free, public events will happen in four locations, featuring unique panelists and audience conversation:
- Montclair – Tuesday, June 2 at the Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Avenue. Doors at 5:30 p.m., program at 6 p.m. Register here.
- South Orange – Thursday, June 11 at The Baird Community Center, 5 Mead St, South Orange. Doors at 6 p.m., program at 6:30 p.m.
- West Orange – Wednesday, June 17 at Luna Stage, 555 Valley Rd, West Orange. Doors at 6 p.m., program at 6:30 p.m.
- Bloomfield – Tuesday, June 30 at Westminster at Bloomfield College, 449 Franklin St. Doors at 5:30 p.m., program at 6 p.m.
