Louis Vuitton Purse Snatch In Bloomfield; Man Flees In BMW: Cops

A purse snatcher allegedly victimized a woman in Bloomfield and made his escape in a BMW, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A purse snatcher allegedly victimized a woman in Bloomfield earlier this month and made his escape in a BMW, police said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the alleged robbery took place on May 9 on the 400-block of Bloomfield Avenue when a man grabbed a woman’s Louis Vuitton purse and fled the scene in a white, four-door BMW with tinted windows, black rims and a New York license plate.

Bloomfield police responding to the scene searched the area but didn’t find the suspect, authorities said.

The purse contained $240 cash, house keys, car keys, ID’s and an iPhone 7 plus. Police are investigating the incident, authorities said.
