Man Attacked With ‘Machete-Type Knife’ In Bloomfield: Police

A verbal argument turned violent when a man attacked another with a knife, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A man was attacked with a knife last week in Bloomfield, leaving him with cuts on his hands, police said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Bloomfield Avenue on July 15 after getting a report about a bleeding person in the area.

The victim told officers that he got into an argument with an unknown man, which eventually turned violent when the man attacked him with a “machete-type knife,” leaving him with lacerations on both hands.
