Man Fatally Shot In Bloomfield Identified As Newark Resident
A triple shooting in Essex County left one victim dead, and two others wounded. No arrests have been made as of Monday, authorities said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A man who died in a triple shooting in Bloomfield has been identified as a Newark resident, authorities announced Monday.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Bloomfield Police Department released a joint statement about the fatal shooting, which took place Sunday afternoon:
“Yesterday afternoon, Sunday, April 10, Christian Lisaldes Perez, 23, of Newark was shot on First Avenue in Bloomfield along with two other people. Perez was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:18 p.m. The other two men, both in their early 30s, were transported to Morristown Medical Center. One is in critical condition. The other is in stable condition.”
“At this time, no arrests have been made,” authorities said.
