Man ‘Grabbed Victim By Throat’ During Robbery: Bloomfield Police

Bloomfield police arrested an East Orange man after he allegedly robbed a victim on Myrtle Street, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police arrested an East Orange man after he allegedly robbed a victim on Myrtle Street earlier this month, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Myrtle Street on March 1 after getting a report about a man that was banging on the window of the caller’s vehicle.

Police said the suspect – later identified as Shaquan Parker, 33, of East Orange – allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat, scratched him on the neck and demanded everything he had in his pockets.

Bloomfield patrol officers apprehended Parker, who was charged with robbery and transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.
