Man Refuses To Leave Bloomfield Dunkin' Donuts, Resists Arrest: Police
Bloomfield police arrested an Irvington man for aggravated assault and resisting arrest last week at a local Dunkin' Donuts.
Bloomfield, NJ – Bloomfield police arrested an Irvington man for aggravated assault and resisting arrest last week after he allegedly refused to leave a local Dunkin’ Donuts.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, police responded to the Dunkin’ Donuts on Bloomfield Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 18, when personnel reported that a man was refusing to leave so that they could clean the restaurant.
When police arrived, they reportedly asked Omar David, 39, of Irvington, to leave of his own accord. But David allegedly refused and became “confrontational” towards the officers.

When officers attempted to arrest and handcuff David, he allegedly began to “forcefully resist,” grabbing one officer’s vest and arm, police stated.
The officers eventually subdued David and transported him to police headquarters, where he was processed and held in lieu of $25,000 bail with a 10 percent option.
