BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A man was recently captured on video stealing the front grill of a vehicle in the parking lot of a local grocery store in Bloomfield, authorities said Friday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the ShopRite on Broad Street on Aug. 27 after getting a report about a theft from an auto.
Police said video surveillance from the store shows a silver vehicle with New York plates pull next to the victim’s car around 10:15 p.m. A man wearing a white shirt and brown pants exits the vehicle and enters the victim’s vehicle. He then gets out of the victim’s car and opens the front hood, removes the front grill of the car, and puts it in the rear of his own vehicle.
