Man Stole $1200 Of Lottery Tickets From Bloomfield Store: Police

Police have arrested a Bloomfield man accused of stealing $1,200 worth of lottery tickets from a convenience store on Montgomery Street.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Police have arrested a Bloomfield man accused of stealing $1,200 worth of lottery tickets from a convenience store on Montgomery Street on Monday morning, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the theft was reported at 7:30 a.m. at the A&A Mini Market. The owner of the store told officers that someone may have tampered with the front door to gain access.

Video footage taken at the scene showed a man entering the front door of the store and stealing the lottery tickets, authorities said.

On Tuesday, Bloomfield police announced that a suspect, Dennis Forlenzo, 29, of Bloomfield, has been identified as the person in the video.

Detectives arrested Forlenzo on Monday and charged him with theft.
