Man Stole $40 From Bloomfield Gas Station But Dropped The Cash: Cops
The suspect tripped and fell to the ground during his getaway, dropping his ill-gained $20 bills, Bloomfield police say.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield gas station attendant reported that a man stole $40 from the cash register inside the building while they were outside at the pump last week, police say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, an employee at the Shell gas station at 460 Bloomfield Avenue told officers that a man in blue jeans took the money around 11:30 a.m. and fled the store on foot towards Burroughs Place.
The suspect lost his loot during the getaway when he tripped and fell to the ground, dropping his ill-gained $20 bills, police said.
