Meet Freckles— Adoptable WOAWL Pet of the Week

This week, meet adoptable Freckles!

Handsome Freckles came in as a stray, so nothing is known about his life before arrival at the shelter, but a little bit more is learned every day. Freckles is anxious to please and is learning to walk on a leash. He's also figured out “sit” for treats and is working on “down.” He's an active, strong dog that needs a family that has previous experience with active, strong and powerful dogs.

Freckles tries hard to be a “good dog” and, with a little consistency and training, he'll make someone a wonderful pet. However, because he is so strong and so active, maybe an adult household would be best. A family that takes long walks, goes on hikes, and has an active lifestyle might be just what he needs...

Freckles has been to the vet and weighed in at 68 lbs. They found him to be in good health. His Heartworm and Lyme tests were negative, as were his Fecal and Giardia tests (negative for parasites/worms). He has been neutered and has had his Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations.

The vet believes Freckles is two years old.

If interested in meeting Freckles, adoption days are:

• The first and third Saturday of each month (excepting holidays)
• Monday–Friday 4:30pm–5:30pm (excepting holidays)
• By appointment through W.O. Animal Control: 973-325-4121
• Please come and meet the wonderful dogs and cats, all ages and sizes. Adoption day is the best time to spend time with the animals, see the pups out and about, and meet the kitties, too.
