Men Try To Steal Bike In Glen Ridge, Bottle Swung At Victim: PD
Glen Ridge police arrested two men after they allegedly tried to steal a victim's bicycle, then swung a bottle at his head, authorities say.
GLEN RIDGE, NJ — Glen Ridge police recently arrested two men after they allegedly tried to steal a victim’s bicycle, then swung a bottle at his head, authorities said.
According to the Glen Ridge Police Department, officers responded to Woodland and Ridgewood avenues at 10:03 p.m. on Aug. 20 after getting a report about a bicycle theft.
On arrival, the officers met with the victim, who said two men attempted to take his bicycle and swung a bottle at his head.

Glen Ridge police located two men fitting the description; one on Freeman Parkway and the other on Douglas Road.
Police arrested both men and charged them with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. They were transferred to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
