Newark Homicide Victim Was a Bloomfield Resident

Quenzelle Mickle was shot multiple times and died soon afterwards, prosecutors say.

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Newark on Wednesday as a 33-year-old Bloomfield resident.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Quenzelle Mickle was fatally shot in the vicinity of 34 Fourth Street shortly before 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

He was pronounced dead at 12:51 a.m. from multiple gunshot wounds.

No arrests have been made and or motive determined, and the investigation is ongoing, according to the ECPO.
