NJ Transit Train Hits, Kills Woman In Bloomfield: Officials
A NJ Transit train struck and killed a woman during the Monday morning rush hours in Bloomfield, officials say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A NJ Transit train struck and killed a woman near the Watsessing Avenue train station in Bloomfield during the Monday morning rush hours, officials say.
NJ Transit temporarily suspended service on the Montclair/Boonton line in both directions between Bay Street and Newark Broad Street due to a “trespasser strike” west of the station, the agency stated.
The woman was on the train tracks when the train hit her; none of the 750 passengers and crew members on board were injured, NJ.com reported.

Service resumed on the MOBO line shortly after the incident with residual delays, NJ Transit officials said.
