Patio Chairs Used In Home Burglary Attempt In Bloomfield: Police
A would-be burglar tried to sneak into a Bloomfield resident's home by climbing on some patio chairs, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A would-be burglar tried to sneak into a Bloomfield resident’s home earlier this month using patio chairs, authorities said Wednesday.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following statement about the attempted burglary, which took place on March 4:
“Officers responded to the 100-block of Stonehouse Road after getting a report about an attempted burglary. According to a resident, during the overnight hours, unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter his home by using his patio chairs to access his windows. The suspect(s) pushed up the screens on two sets of windows, however the inside windows were locked.”
Bloomfield police are investigating the burglary attempt, authorities said.
