Pickup Truck Stolen From Bloomfield Church: Police

A car thief stole a pickup truck that belonged to a local church, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A car thief stole a pickup truck that belonged to a local church earlier this month, Bloomfield police said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, an officer responded to Sacred Heart Church on Broad Street on Nov. 4 after receiving a report about a motor vehicle theft. The reverend of the church said that the vehicle was parked in its usual spot before it was discovered to be missing.

The vehicle was locked at the time of the theft; it was last seen on Oct. 19. Police described the vehicle as a 2002 burgundy pickup with New Jersey license plate: X9780R.

The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen, police said. No additional information was immediately available.
