Pizza Delivery Driver’s Car Stolen In Bloomfield: Police

A food driver became the victim of a car theft when he left his vehicle running during a pizza delivery in Bloomfield, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A food driver became the victim of a car theft when he left his vehicle running during a recent pizza delivery in Bloomfield, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the theft took place after the driver made a delivery to the Job Haines Home on Bloomfield Avenue at 6:30 p.m. on June 29.

The victim told officers he parked his 2010 Volkswagen in the back lot in front of the lobby, leaving the keys inside, doors unlocked and engine running. When he returned to the car, it was gone, authorities said.

The car was a black, two-door Volkswagen with New Jersey registration #J63HRD. It was entered NCIC stolen, police said.
