Purse Snatcher Strikes In Bloomfield On Franklin Street: Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A man clad in all black clothing recently robbed a woman and stole her purse on Franklin Street, Bloomfield police said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the victim told an officer that the robbery took place as she was exiting a friend’s vehicle on Feb. 25. At that time, an “unknown male” approached her from behind and grabbed her purse, which contained items worth $300.

“The only description of the suspect is that he was wearing all black,” Bloomfield police stated Friday.

The incident is under investigation, authorities said.
