Tuition Increases At 25 NJ Colleges: Here's How Much It Went Up
Here are the universities that raised their tuition the most throughout New Jersey — plus two that didn't raise theirs at all.
NEW JERSEY — Getting an education at a four-year college in New Jersey typically isn't cheap. And most returning students will pay an even higher bill this school year than the last.
Many universities that offered tuition freezes or financial benefits earlier in the pandemic have gotten closer to business as usual, which typically means an annual increase in tuition and fees. Out of New Jersey's 27 four-year colleges and universities, 25 increased tuition by at least 2 percent for the 2022-23 school year, according to data analysis from NJ Advance Media.
Two institutions — Saint Elizabeth University and Bloomfield College — kept costs the same. The greatest price since last semester came from Seton Hall University, which increased annual tuition and fees by 4.4 percent to $46,960.
