Safe Stolen From Bedroom In Bloomfield Apartment: Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A safe was recently stolen from a Bloomfield resident’s bedroom, authorities say.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the burglary was reported March 27 at an apartment on John Street.

The resident told officers that her husband arrived home around 3:15 p.m. to find that a safe in the bedroom closet was missing.

Video surveillance footage shows two men ringing doorbells of several units in the housing complex. When nobody answered the doorbell at the victims’ residence, the suspects manipulated the door lock, entered the apartment and removed the safe.

A police investigation continues, authorities said.
