Several Cars Stolen In Bloomfield: Here’s When, Where

Bloomfield Police: The stolen vehicles include a Ford Explorer, a Dodge Ram Bumble Bee Edition and two Nissan Muranos.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Several vehicles were reported stolen in Bloomfield last week, authorities said Thursday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following thefts were recently reported in the township.

Sept. 14 – Officers responded to the area of Davidson Road on report of a motor vehicle theft. The resident parked his vehicle overnight and upon returning to it the following morning, it was missing. He was unsure if the doors were locked. The vehicle, a 2020 black Ford Explorer, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.

Sept. 16 – Officers responded to the 200-block of Liberty Street on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant parked her vehicle in the college parking lot on Sept. 15 at approximately 12:30 p.m. When she returned to the vehicle the following day it was missing. The vehicle, a 2004 Dodge Ram Bumble Bee Edition, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.

Sept. 17 – Officers responded to the area of Chester Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue on report of a motor vehicle theft. The owner parked his vehicle and left it running in front of the bakery at approximately 6:05 p.m. When he returned ten minutes later it was missing. The vehicle, a 2017 black Nissan Murano, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.

Sept. 18 – Officers responded to the 300 block of Ampere Parkway on report of a motor vehicle theft. The owner parked his vehicle in front of his residence and left it idling as he was moving some items from his vehicle to the house. As he entered his residence, a black, two-door Mercedes Benz pulled alongside his vehicle and a man exited the passenger side and got into his vehicle and sped off. The vehicle, a 2019 white Nissan Murano, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.
