Sewer Main Break In Bloomfield Impacts Traffic, Forces Repairs

BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- A sewer main break closed part of Bloomfield Avenue on Wednesday, Bloomfield authorities say.

The Bloomfield Police Department issued the following advisory at 9:07 p.m.:

"Please be advised that Bloomfield Avenue between Ward Street and Glenwood Avenue will have road construction on Wednesday, May 17. There will be a sewer main repair detail on Bloomfield Avenue. Bloomfield Avenue will have one lane closed eastbound from Ward Street to Glenwood Avenue."

Drivers should expect delays and plan an alternate route, authorities said. Police officers were on the scene directing traffic.
