Shoplifter Points Gun At Marshalls Manager In Bloomfield: Police
A shoplifting suspect allegedly pointed a gun at a loss prevention manager of a Marshalls store in Bloomfield, police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A shoplifting suspect allegedly pointed a gun at a manager of a Marshalls store in Bloomfield last weekend, police announced Wednesday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the Marshalls on Franklin Street on Sunday after getting a report about a shoplifting.
The store’s loss prevention manager told police that a man and woman entered the building and took $100 worth of clothing, then left the premises without paying. The manager followed the suspects out of the store and saw them get into a black GMC Terrain parked in the fire lane.

When the manager approached the pair, the man reached into the glove compartment, pulled out a black handgun and threatened the employee, police said.
A police investigation continues, authorities said.
