When was the last time anyone took a ride over to the now vacant property where Westinghouse once stood?
Take a look and you'll see encircling the property, a chain link fence with green screening entwined within the links. If you look through the gates, all you see are slabs of concrete, an old shed, what looks like a trailer, and all throughout, Nature reclaiming the land---weeds and wildflowers grow throughout the parcel.
Why, after all of the years since the buildings were demolished, is the property still vacant? Considering the proximity of the train station, you would think this might be a perfect spot to build a townhouse or condo development, or....maybe not...
Once upon a time, there stood in the surrounding environs, a vibrant area known as Watsessing, bustling with businesses, a movie theater, and the lively goings on of the Westinghouse neighbors. I wonder where they are today, at this very moment?
