Special Meeting In Bloomfield: New Ordinance, Water, Bills
Action is expected to be taken on multiple items during a virtual meeting of the Bloomfield town council on Tuesday.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Township Council will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at noon. Action is expected to be taken on multiple items.
The meeting will take place remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a municipal announcement, action will be taken on the following: second reading of an ordinance Authorizing Emergency Appropriation N.J.S.A. 40A-53; Resolutions on water and current fund transfers as well as water and current fund cancellations, a resolution to pay bills, a resolution for the 2021 Safe and Secure grant, and the adoption of the minutes for the December 14, 2020 Combined Conference/Regular Council Meeting.

Bloomfield town officials said:
“Tuesday’s Township Council Meeting will be streaming live on Channel 35, (Comcast), Channel 30 (Verizon), YouTube or Facebook Live starting at noon. A link for the livestream will be posted on the township website, www.bloomfieldtwpnj.com. The public always has an opportunity to make public comment to the Mayor and Council during public meetings. However, with this new format, if you have a comment or a question, please submit it in writing to the Township Clerk at twpclerk@bloomfieldtwpnj.com. If there are any public comments on the Ordinances on Second Reading please submit those as well. The Township Clerk will read on the record your question or comment during the public comment portion of the meeting. You should submit your name, address and state your question or comment. Submissions will be accepted until 11:30 AM, Tuesday, December 29, 2020. If you choose not to email, and would rather speak during the meeting - please dial in using this number 425-436-6348 Access: 277839#. When you are called upon please state your name, address and then your comment. You will have five minutes total to speak. The agenda as well as supporting resolutions and ordinances can be found on the township website.”
