St. Thomas the Apostle School 1st Grade Scientists

The First Graders of St. Thomas the Apostle School began the week working on some fun, mind blowing science experiments!

The First Grade students of St. Thomas the Apostle School began working this week on a whirlwind of a project. They first learned about tornadoes and how they form. After gaining this knowledge the students were able to take cleaned water bottles, fill them with soap, water, and glitter and create mini-tornadoes. This is one of the first STEM Projects of the year for our First Graders as they look up to their 7th grade buddies who are creating scientific masterpieces in the STEM Lab with the 8th graders.
