St. Thomas the Apostle School Kindergarteners Veterans Day Flags and Remembrance

The Kindergarten Class of St. Thomas the Apostle School has worked hard the last two weeks in developing their knowledge of why we celebrate Veterans Day. From the idea of what is a Veteran to what they did for our nation, the Kindergarten Class learned what it takes to be a Veteran. Their teacher Mrs. Peppinghaus, made it clear to them that it is important for us to honor and remember all of the heroic acts that these brave men and women put forth for us to have our freedom. In remembrance of Veterans Day, the students have designed American Flag depictions, with an understanding of the stars and stripes, and the meaning behind the salute to our troops.

Pictured below is the kindergarten class of St. Thomas the Apostle School in Bloomfield, NJ holding their American Flag Creations.
