Stolen Car, Attempted Theft Reported In Bloomfield: Police
A car was stolen on Watsessing Avenue, and an attempted theft was reported on Berkeley Avenue, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A car theft and an attempted theft were reported in Bloomfield last week, police announced Tuesday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township:
March 15 – “Officers responded to the area of Berkeley Avenue on report of an attempted motor vehicle theft. A resident parked her vehicle on the street overnight and upon returning to it, she noticed that the rear passenger window was broken and the steering column was damaged. This incident is under investigation.”

March 18 – “Officers responded to the 400-block of Watsessing Avenue on report of a motor vehicle theft. A resident parked her vehicle on the street overnight and upon returning to it in the morning, she noticed it was missing. The vehicle, a black 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
