Stolen Cars In Bloomfield: Here’s Where The Latest Thefts Happened
Bloomfield police released details about five recent vehicle thefts and attempted thefts in the township.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police released details about five recent vehicle thefts and attempted thefts in the township on Wednesday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, here’s where the latest incidents took place.
April 17 – “Officers responded to the area of Essex Avenue on report of an attempted motor vehicle theft. A resident parked his vehicle in the apartment parking lot for the weekend and left it unlocked. When he returned to the vehicle, he noticed $15 was missing and his steering column was damaged. This incident is under investigation.”

April 18 – “Officers responded to 630 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant left his vehicle running while he went inside the 7-Eleven and when he returned, his vehicle was missing. A witness observed a male enter the vehicle and speed off with it onto Bloomfield Avenue. The vehicle, a black 2019 Infiniti Q-50, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation. This vehicle was recovered in East Orange on April 18.”
April 21 – “Officers responded to the area of Linden Avenue on report of a motor vehicle theft. A resident arranged the sale of his vehicle over Facebook Marketplace and when the buyer arrived, he asked if he could take it for a test drive. The complainant allowed the male to test drive the vehicle however, the suspect never returned with it. The vehicle, a brown 2012 Mercedes ML, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

April 22 – “Officers responded to 8 Franklin Street (Stop and Shop) on report of an attempted motor vehicle theft. A resident parked her vehicle in the parking lot and when she returned, she observed the rear passenger side window broken and damage to the steering column and ignition. This incident is under investigation.”
April 22 – “Officers responded to the 400-block of Beardsley Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle theft. A resident observed two males wearing dark clothing walk up the driveway of her home on her surveillance camera at 10:30 p.m. One of the males entered her vehicle and drove away with it while the other male ran from the scene. The suspects left a Hyundai Sonata in front of her residence that was stolen from Newark. The vehicle, a white 2019 Kia sport wagon, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
