Stop & Shop Unveils Remodeled Bloomfield Store

Stop & Shop, a neighborhood grocer for more than 100 years, today unveiled its newly remodeled store in Bloomfield (8 Franklin Street). The store, which opened its doors in 2000, is now noticeably brighter and more modern. The store not only has a new look, but it also has new features that are centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options to make grocery shopping easier.

Highlights of the remodeled Bloomfield store include:

• Enhanced produce department offering more ways to eat healthy
• Remodeled bakery department complete with delicious cakes, cupcakes and other treats
• Upgraded meat and seafood departments with service cases that offer fresh filets and choice cuts
• An updated deli department that features an expanded assortment of offerings
• New grab-and-go meal solutions including a new hot foods bar featuring freshly packed entrees and sides, as well as sushi made fresh in-store daily
• Expanded dairy and frozen food departments offering a wider array of goods
• Organic and natural products integrated within the grocery aisles allowing customers to see all product options available
• Updated pharmacy where Stop & Shop’s trained and trusted pharmacists can conveniently and safely administer COVID-19 and other vaccines
• Convenience cases filled with the essentials – milk, butter, and eggs – located right by checkout so customers can quickly grab the most-needed items, without having to walk the entire store

“We’re excited to share our newly remodeled store with our local shoppers,” said Joe Heiser, Store Manager of Stop & Shop Bloomfield. “We’ve added more of what our customers want and upgrades they need to get their shopping done faster and get back to what matters most.”

To commemorate the remodel and further support the Bloomfield community, Stop & Shop donated gift cards to Promised Land Missionary Baptist Church to support its back-to-school supply drive.
