BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A training workshop in Bloomfield will teach participants how to support people facing deportation during immigration hearings and ICE check-ins.
Temple Ner Tamid of Bloomfield is partnering with the New Sanctuary Coalition (NSC) to host an “immigration accompaniment information and training program” from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 936 Broad Street in Bloomfield. (Learn more or RSVP for this local event)
According to an event posting from Temple Ner Tamid, the program recruits and trains volunteers to accompany people facing deportation to their immigration hearings and ICE check-ins.
