BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Three people tried to break into a home in Bloomfield using a pry bar earlier this week, authorities reported Friday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Clinton Street on May 5 after getting a report about an attempted burglary.

A resident provided police with video footage that showed three people walking alongside the residence. Using a pry bar, they tried to gain entry into the home through a window, cracking it in the process.

The suspects then fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV, police said.

A police investigation continues, authorities said Friday. No additional information was immediately available.
