Teen Flashed Gun At Another Youth Near Bloomfield Athletic Field, Police Say

The victim said another juvenile asked if he could use his phone – and then displayed a handgun, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested after an incident at Foley Field in Bloomfield last week, police say.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about the arrest, which took place on May 3:

“The complainant responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a robbery that occurred at Foley Field. According to the complainant, a juvenile male asked to use his phone. The male then lifted his shirt and displayed a handgun that was tucked in his waistband. Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.”
