Thief Grabs Cash From Register At Bloomfield Discount Store: Police
A store employee told officers that a man approached her and made a gesture like he had a weapon, Bloomfield police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A thief recently robbed a discount store in Bloomfield, smacking a phone out of an employee’s hand and fleeing with cash from the register, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the Dollar Tree at 135 Bloomfield Avenue on Oct. 5 after getting a report about a robbery.
A store employee told officers that a man approached her and made a gesture like he had a weapon, then demanded that she open the cash register. As she reached for a phone, he smacked it out of her hand. Then he took $368 from the register and fled the scene, police said.
