Town Council Approves Budget For Bloomfield Center Alliance
The Bloomfield Town Council is expected to introduce the 2023 municipal budget at their next meeting.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Town Council unanimously voted to approve the budget for the Bloomfield Center Alliance during their April 3 meeting, which included a public hearing and a discussion about the organization’s strategic plan (watch the video below via WBMA TV).
The Bloomfield Center Alliance budget was introduced in writing at the Feb. 27 council meeting. The nonprofit community development organization manages the downtown business district for the benefit of the merchants, business owners and residents of Bloomfield.

The town’s director of finance, Jennifer Semler, gave an update on the schedule for this year’s budget at the April 3 council meeting.
After introducing a cap bank ordinance, the proposed budget can be introduced. According to Semler, a public hearing on the budget would hopefully take place on May 22.
