Upcoming Workshop Will Elevate Special Ed Professionals' Skills
Westbridge Academy offers workshop designed to empower educators with brain-based tools to address student challenges.

Bloomfield, NJ– Westbridge Academy’s commitment to preparing educators to work with students with behavioral, emotional and learning disabilities has inspired their leadership to offer a half-day training program on Executive Function Skills in Action. Dr. ‘Buzz’ Mingin, a national speaker and author, will present this informative, hands-on workshop at the school. “Executive Function” refers to a group of skills that allow students to manage their own thoughts, actions and emotions in order to get things done, skills that are often weak in students with ADHD, and other challenges.
Well known for his work with students who have behavioral and emotional disabilities, Dr. ‘Buzz’ will bring his dynamic style as he gives professionals a deeper understanding of executive function skills and the role those skills play in student behavior and learning. Attendees will leave with concrete strategies and actionable steps derived from brain-based science.
“We know that educators need more information and strategies to better support a diverse student body. We are thrilled to bring Dr. ‘Buzz’ back to our school to offer them a toolbox of strategies to help students learn and cope,” said Dr. Viviana Litovsky, Executive Director of Westbridge Academy.
