Victim Beaten, Robbed In Bloomfield Supermarket Parking Lot: Police
Two juveniles threw the victim to the ground, beat him, and then took his backpack and cellphone, Bloomfield police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two juveniles were arrested in Bloomfield last week after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a victim in the parking lot of a local supermarket, authorities announced Friday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the Stop & Shop on Franklin Street on May 1 after getting a report about a robbery.
The victim told officers that a group of juveniles approached him as he was walking through the parking lot. Two of the juveniles threw him to the ground, began punching and kicking him, and then took his backpack and cellphone.

Police soon found a group of juveniles at a nearby NJ Transit Light Rail station, including the two who allegedly assaulted the victim. Those juveniles – a 15-year-old Bloomfield resident and a 14-year-old East Orange resident – were arrested and charged at Bloomfield Police Headquarters, authorities said.
