BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police charged an Essex County man with robbery after he allegedly robbed a victim at the Exxon gas station on Bloomfield Avenue, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the victim told officers that he was robbed at the gas station on July 13.

The victim said two men got into his car and hit him with a .22 caliber handgun, then stole his Apple AirPods.

After an investigation by the Bloomfield Detective Bureau, police arrested Arron Larathe, 19, of Irvington. He was charged with robbery and weapons offenses and has a pending court date.

An investigation is ongoing for other suspects, police said Friday.
