Video Captures Gold Coin Theft In Bloomfield, Cops Say

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — An incident involving 10 stolen gold coins in Bloomfield may have been captured on video, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, an officer took a report from a Thomas Street resident on June 1 about stolen property. The resident said that around 6:24 a.m. that day, an unknown person entered her husband’s vehicle and stole 10 golden coins worth $200.

Exterior home video surveillance captured the theft; the incident is under investigation, authorities stated.
