Wallet With $9K Stolen At Fast-Food Restaurant In Bloomfield: Police
A woman told police that she left her wallet on a table while she ordered her food. When she returned, it was gone.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Someone allegedly stole a wallet that contained thousands of dollars at a fast-food restaurant in Bloomfield last week, police say.
Officers responded to the Popeyes on the 100-block of Bloomfield Avenue on March 18 after getting a report about a theft.
A woman told police that she left her wallet on a table while she ordered her food. When she sat down to eat, she realized the wallet was left on a different table. But when she returned to get it, the wallet was gone.

The wallet contained $9,000 in cash and identification, she said.
A police investigation continues, authorities said.
