WATCH: 3 Bloomfield Council Members Sworn In For New Terms
Jenny Mundell, Nicholas Joanow and Sarah Cruz each ran unopposed in the 2023 election.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A trio of local elected officials in Bloomfield were sworn in for another term on the town council last week.
Jenny Mundell (First Ward), Nicholas Joanow (Second Ward) and Sarah Cruz (Third Ward), each ran unopposed in the 2023 primary and general elections. Each ran on the Democratic Party ticket.
Each incumbent was sworn in for a new term at the council’s reorganization meeting on Jan. 4 (watch the video below or view it online here).

Bloomfield also held an election for the local board of education last November. Stephanie Parry, Nadeisha Greene and Kasey Dudley emerged victorious in the school board race. See Related: Bloomfield School Board Election Results Certified (See Final Tallies)
Meanwhile, Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia captured a seat in the New Jersey Assembly in the 34th district, which includes the municipalities of Belleville, Bloomfield, East Orange, Glen Ridge, Nutley and Orange.
