Water Left Running During Wet Home Burglary In Bloomfield: Police
Someone apparently left the water running during a home burglary in Bloomfield, causing about $30,000 in damage, police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Someone apparently left the water running during a home burglary in Bloomfield last week, flooding the house and causing about $30,000 in damage, police said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to a home on Elmwood Avenue on Sept. 24 after receiving a report about a burglary.
After finding that someone forced their way into the home, the officers entered the premises. They found running water and a wet, “flooded” house, authorities said.

Police are investigating the burglary. No additional information was immediately available.
