West Orange Adoptable Pets of the Week: Hansel & Gretel

This week, meet adoptable Hansel & Gretel!

Siblings Hansel & Gretel were found together, tied on the reservation—lost in the woods, just like in the fairy tale we all heard as kids. Luckily, someone saw their predicament and called animal control, who came to the rescue. Now they're safe at the West Orange Animal Shelter.

They are estimated to be only 6 to 8 months old—so young to be left in the woods all alone.

Gretel is a beautiful grey brindle. Her brother Hansel is a handsome brown brindle with white markings. Both are quite stunning and available for adoption; much as we'd like to see them adopted together, it's not required that they be placed as a pair.

If interested in meeting Hansel & Gretel, the West Orange Animal Welfare League holds adoption days on:

• The first and third Saturday of each month (excepting holidays)
• The shelter is open Monday–Friday 4:30pm–5:30pm (excepting holidays)
• Animals can be seen by appointment through W.O. Animal Control: 973-325-4121
