BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A married couple are getting ready to open the door to their new kitchen remodeling showroom in Bloomfield, celebrating a big personal milestone in the process.

Takia and Steven Livingston first launched their local Kitchen Tune-Up franchise in 2019, choosing to settle down and build their business in Bloomfield because it’s “family-friendly and active.” Since then, the pair have been planning to bring a brick-and-mortar showroom to the town – a dream that they’ll finally realize with a grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 25.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1285 Broad Street. It will include tours of the new space, giveaways and “sips and snacks” from local businesses.

“The new showroom location on Broad Street in Bloomfield was previously home to Tosone Electric. In April 2021, a local developer purchased the building, which was originally constructed in 1970 and in need of a major revitalization. [Steven and Takia Livingston] saw the concept for the building and immediately knew it would be the perfect location for their franchise business, which they originally opened in 2019. Takia partnered with the developer to design the space, which also serves as the company’s warehouse and receiving center. Construction on the space took over two years, as the duo faced major supply chain delays with bringing materials in from overseas. After many challenges and setbacks, the team is ready to open their doors and serve their local community.”
