BRICK, NJ — One person was injured late Tuesday night in a crash that shut down the Route 70-Route 88 interchange for about four hours, Brick police said Wednesday.

The crash involved three vehicles and one driver was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with a leg injury, Sgt. Joseph Rossi said. He did not have additional information on the driver or the vehicles involved in the crash.

The crash resulted in "excessive fluids" from the vehicles being spilled on the road, Rossi said, which led to the closure so the state Department of Transportation could clean up the fluids, he said.
